Lather Up

V’s Barbershop (pictured above), 2426B N Federal Hwy, 954.233.1964, vbarbershop.com
Throw it back to the olden days at V’s Barbershop, a traditional barbershop in every way. From the real barber chairs down to the hot lather and straightedge razor shaves, you’ll feel like you’ve walked into the 1950s—in a good way. While they pay respects to the classic ways, they also specialize in modern contemporary haircuts using popular hair product brands. Haircuts are not just about the style; they’re also about first-class experiences at reasonable prices.

Pamper Your Pet

Snoopy Pet Spa & Boutique, 915 E Cypress Creek Rd, 754.206.2916
Just like people need grooming themselves, so do furry friends. At Snoopy Pet Spa & Boutique, services such as hair and nail trims, baths, dental cleaning, daycare and more are provided to keep your little ones’ tails wagging.

School of Tots

Broward County Libraries’ Active Learning Center, 100 S Andrews Ave, Broward County Main Library, Second Floor, 954.357.7444, broward.org/library
A question some parents may ask themselves before their children begin school is: “Are they ready?” With the new Active Learning Center at Broward County’s Main Library now open to the public, parents won’t have to worry. Devised for kids from birth to 5 years old, the free facility disguises developmental and school readiness activities as children’s play. Activities include cooking and cleaning in the playhouse, shopping at miniature stores, playing on a boat, riding a train downtown and performing on stage - all in a space made to resemble a seaside village.
