Walking along the Riverwalk, or perhaps sailing down the New River, you may have noticed a new addition to the waterfront standing downhill from the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The two-story Huizenga Pavilion is part of the center's $58 million expansion. A private reception area occupies the top floor, while Marti's New River Bistro fills the ground floor.
Opening two and half hours before each evening performance, the restaurant offers prix fixe dinners that include Moroccan lamb tagine with sweet potato mash and gluten-free soba noodles with heirloom carrots, forest mushrooms and Japanese eggpant in a miso broth. After 8 p.m. on show nights, an a la carte menu becomes available. And on Saturdays and Sundays, brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
